Plans for our 55th
Preliminary planning is underway for our 55th, probably mid to late August, 2014. Anyone wishing to work on this event should contact Sue Fischer Cheeley. Current thinking is this will be a low key event, not splashy, probably an evening dinner. Following up on earlier suggestions, the Classes of 1958 and 1960 are being invited to join us if they would like to do so.

We have lost 3 more members of our Class duriong 2013: Harold (Hap ) Skillman, Michael (Mickey) Owen, and John Vance.

More than $3,000 Raised . . .
. . . to fund the first Class of 1959 Scholarship at the May SHSAA Scholarship Banquet.
Our scholarship winner is Samantha Shobe. She was in athletics, Key Club, Fellowship of Christion Athletes and PEERS. Enjoyed playing Varsity Girls' Basketball and Soccer. In 2008 she was the most Improved Player for soccer. She did volunteer work in numerous concession duties and helped the school raise money for organizations such as UNICEFand the Red Cross.
She is planning to attend a four year college and graduate with a nursing degree. "Helping people has always interested me and pursuing a carreer in health care would be a great opportunity."

51st Reunion Aug. 7--Reservations Due July 12

Only 25 years to go!
(Until our 75th Anniversary Blast!!!)
Stay tuned for posts about our 50th. For all you folks who didn't make it, you were missed. For those who attended, we hope everybody made it home safely and has recovered from our joyous festivities.
Pictures and information will be posted here as soon as your blog editor recovers.
There are still a few memory books left if anyone wishes to purchase one. They are $10 each. Also, it's not too late to order your DVD, which will be chock full of pictures, both oldies-but-goodies as well as photos from the 50th Anniversary event. You can order those also at $10 each. They will be mailed out in about 30 days from now, give or take a few.
If you took pictures at the event on a digital camera, please copy to a CD and send to Nancy Sowden Burton, 208 Dehart St., West Lafayette In 47906, so that they may be included.
